Israeli Ambassador to Paris, Asher Ben Natan, Tuesday pinned Medals of the Just and gave certificates to six Frenchmen who saved Jews in Paris during World War II. The Ambassador underlined the humanitarian sentiments that led the six to such acts of bravery and said that the only reason they have not been honored sooner was that their modesty prevented their acts from being known. The medals went to Mrs. Pilondeau who saved an entire family–the children have now settled in Israel; to Mrs. Hagenauer who gave refuge to a number of children who had escaped from a mass kidnapping; to Mr. Tzaut, Colonel of the Salvation Army; and to Mr. and Mrs. Aupetit and Paul Mans.
