Israeli and Palestinian negotiators said they made no progress after talks in Washington with U.S. Middle East envoy Dennis Ross and other State Department officials. One of the participants, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political adviser, briefed a small group of Jewish representatives on the talks. Uzi Arad gave a spirited defense of Netanyahu’s peace policies, according to participants at the closed meeting, which was sponsored by B’nai B’rith.
