Israeli and Palestinian security officials plan to hold U.S.-brokered talks Friday. Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat announced the talks after meeting with the U.S. peace envoy in the region, former Marine Corps Gen. Anthony Zinni. Zinni met Arafat on Thursday in the West Bank city of Ramallah after holding talks with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in Jerusalem on Wednesday.
