An Israeli-Arab woman was indicted for agreeing to help Palestinian terrorists.

Somaiya Abu Ghanem, 21, of Ramle, was charged Monday in Petach Tikvah District Court with having contact with a foreign agent. The Israel Security Agency, in cooperation with the Israel Police, had arrested Ghanem on Oct. 28.

During the investigation, it emerged that the Gaza-based Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade terrorists had contacted Ghanem in September asking for help in kidnapping a Jew. She expressed her willingness to cooperate, according to a news release from the Prime Minister’s Office. Ghanem was asked as well to assist in bringing a female suicide terrorist from Gaza into Israel and lead her to a crowded place.

The release said Ghanem worked as a teacher’s aide at a Ramle kindergarten and was due to begin university studies.
