Israeli college students ended a strike Monday. The strike ended after a meeting between student leaders and opposition leader Yosef “Tommy” Lapid in which Lapid said money would be allocated to higher education in Israel. Lapid’s Shinui Party is not part of the Israeli government, but has agreed to support the government’s budget plan, which is scheduled for a vote later this week.
