Police threw a cordon around the American Embassy building here today when Israel’s tiny Communist Party announced a march to the Embassy to protest the Unites States quarantine against Cuba.
Some 200 protesters assembled at a street corner near the Embassy, The police, asserting the demonstrators were interfering with traffic, dispersed them after a minor clash in which a number of the pro-Communists were arrested. They were carrying banners with the slogan: “We will defend Cuba, we will defend peace.”
