Israeli conductor David Shallon died in Japan at 49 after a heart attack. Shallon, who was until recently the conductor of the Jerusalem Israel Broadcasting Authority Orchestra, was in Japan for concerts with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra.
