Israeli defense officials proposed launching a campaign aimed at having the United States put the PLO back on its list of terrorist organizations. Foreign Minister Shimon Peres opposes the campaign, but Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has not decided where he stands, according to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz.
