Dr. Theodore Meron, one of Israel’s most distinguished authorities on International Law, will present his credentials tomorrow to Canadian government officials as the new Israeli Ambassador to Canada. Dr. Meron, a veteran of the War of Independence, is a graduate of the Hebrew University, Harvard Law School, and Cambridge University. He assumed his new post in Ottawa Sept. 1 after serving in a senior role in the Israel Foreign Office in Jerusalem. In another senior diplomatic move, David Ephrati, former Ambassador to Gabon, has been named Consul General of Israel in Montreal. The Jewish community here will fete these Israeli diplomats shortly.
