An Israeli gynecologist has been invited to an international gynecological conference to be held in Cairo at year’s end, it was revealed today. Dr. Yoram Diamand, practicing physician at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital, today received official confirmation of his invitation from the Egyptian government through the International Organization of Gynecologists, centered in Switzerland. The conference will be held under the sponsorship of Jihan Sadat, President Anwar Sadat’s wife.
In its communique to Diamand, the gynecologists’ organization called on Israel to send additional researchers to the conference, noting that Egypt had not placed any limitation on the number of Israelis attending the conclave.
