The Egyptian-Israeli prisoner of war exchange, interrupted for three days by a severe snow storm, resumed this morning when another convoy of POWs was turned over to Egyptian authorities at Kantara, under the supervision of the International Red Cross. The Egyptians left Athlit camp in busses at midnight on the seven hour journey to the Suez Canal.
No announcement was made of the number of prisoners involved. As of yesterday, Israel still held 4,500 Egyptian officers and soldiers captured during the June war. Egypt holds 15 Israeli prisoners.
