Ten graduate engineers from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa, arrived here today aboard the S.S. ‘Jerusalem’ prior to beginning a year of work in American industrial plants.
Brought here under the apprentice trainee program of the American Technion Society, the Israeli engineers will be placed in specific positions so that they may acquire a sufficient knowledge of American industrial know-how to help them direct Israel’s vast program of industrialization when they return to their native country.
