The first Israel fashion show here, which closed yesterday, resulted in the sale of more than 500,000 pounds sterling ($1,400,000) worth of Israeli exports, it was announced here today by Miss Ruth Kimmel, director of the fashion section of the Israel Export Institute. The total was nearly double the expected figure, she said.
Twenty-six Israeli manufacturers exhibited at the show. The orders were given not only by British merchants but also by others who had been flown here from France, West Germany, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, the United States, Canada, South Africa and Zambia.
