An Israeli-made film, “Siege,” has been shown during a film festival in Moscow to a restricted audience but not as part of the official program of the festival. Yaacov Agmon, the producer, confirmed the showing in a telephone call from Moscow. The showing was before invited viewers. There will be two more showings but all screenings are for audiences by special invitation. Russian Jews who want to see the Israeli film will not be able to. The Soviet custom for film festivals in the USSR bars the public.
