Eight Israeli fishermen have been sentenced in Gaza to two years’ imprisonment on charges of having violated Gaza Strip territorial waters, it was reported today by the Cairo radio. The Gaza court also confiscated the two fishing craft of the Israelis who were captured last October.
An Israel Army spokesman reported today that two armed Bedouins were killed and a third wounded in a clash with an Israeli patrol in the Negev.The patrol intercepted the Bedouins Tuesday night. They refused to identify themselves and tried to escape. Shooting followed. The Bedouins had two submachine guns, a rifle and ammunition. The wounded Bedouin was hospitalized.
