Israeli forces killed nine Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip. Military sources said commandos killed several members of a Palestinian rocket crew Monday during an ambush in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun. Palestinians confirmed that at least one of the dead was a senior terrorist, from the Popular Resistance Committees, but said some of the casualties were noncombatants who had come to the area to attend a wake.
