Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy said the secretary-general of the United Nations promised to use his influence to prevent the adoption of anti-Israel U.N. resolutions while the peace process proceeds. After meeting with Kofi Annan on Tuesday, Levy said Annan also agreed that the peace process “must continue directly between the sides involved” without international intervention, which can “disturb the process.”
