The Israel Foreign Ministry flatly denied today charges by a Knesset member that the ministry had imposed censorship and pressure to prevent publication here of news of a revival of Zionist and Jewish nationalist aspirations among the Jews of the Soviet Union.
The charge had been made by Mrs. Shulamith Alon, a Labor Party member, in a letter to Foreign Minister Eban. Mr. Eban has stated that there is no censorship of such news and a spokesman stressed that, on the contrary, the Foreign Ministry welcomed publication of any trustworthy reports on developments concerning the Soviet Jewish community.
