Moises Toff, director of the Latin American Division of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, this weekend charged that the visit of Menahem Beigin, head of the Israeli Herut Party, to Argentina was harmful to the interests of Israel.
Speaking at a press conference, Mr. Toff asserted that Mr. Beigin was trying to rally abroad the support which he does not have in Israel. The Herut’s program demand for the annexation of all of Palestine by the Jewish state is obstructing Israeli foreign policy in relation to reaching agreements with the Arabs, the Israeli official added.
