Furniture with the “made in Israel” stamp shows signs of becoming an important export item and efforts are being made to expand its market abroad, it was reported here yesterday. The industry exported $300,000 worth of furniture during the first half of 1968, a sharp rise over the equivalent period of last year. It now has orders valued at $2 million, mainly from the United States and from several African countries as well.
