The Israeli Government has agreed to participate in the European conference called by the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine, it was announced here today. The parley will probably take place in Lausanne, Switzerland, before the end of April. Delegates to the meeting have not yet been named.
Tel Aviv’s afternoon newspapers reported from Amman today that anti-British demonstrations took place in the Transjordan Capital. British officers and soldiers were stoned and fired upon and several required hospitalization, the reports stated. Following the outbreaks, all British military personnel in Amman were confined to their barracks.
