Israeli Independence Day was celebrated here at a reception last night arranged by the Zionist Organization of Cuba and attended by a number of leading personalities. It culminated in a large mass meeting at the National Amphitheater. One of the features of the celebration was the laying of wreath at the monument of the Cuban national hero, Jose Martin, at a ceremony attended by children of all Jewish schools in the city.
