The Israeli air force Tuesday launched its sixth attack this year against terrorist bases in southern Lebanon. The jets, which hit a Palestinian group’s training center near Sidon, returned safely to their bases, a military spokesman announced.
Lebanese sources identified the target as a training center of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, headed by Ahmed Jabril.
Reports from Beirut said 16 people, including children, were wounded in the nearby Mieh Mieh refugee camp on the edge of Sidon.
