The Israeli army has set the number of Israeli soldiers missing in the northern front–presumably imprisoned by the Syrians as prisoners of war at 80. This number includes air crews, armored corp soldiers and artillery men as well as other soldiers. This number was reached after careful examination of all details of the remains of soldiers found in the battle area. The number of 80 includes soldiers recognized in press photos, and those interviewed by foreign correspondents.
