Israeli military experts are helping the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal form a paratroop brigade, it was learned here. A number of Israelis are reported to have arrived at Katmandu, the capital, to work out details. Others are expected later and talks are said to be under way for the purchase of Israeli weapons for the Royal Nepalese Army. Traditionally India has been Nepal’s main source of arms. But the small nation, which is planning a major reorganization of its defense forces, has decided to pursue an independent course.
