Israeli minister Ariel Sharon told a meeting of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy that it would be difficult for Israel to decide on the extent of a further redeployment in time to meet in Washington next week. Sharon, whose vote is key in securing Cabinet backing for a redeployment, added that he did not think it possible to meet the U.S. call for a 13 percent transfer of West Bank land.
