Education Minister Zalman Aranne presented to Parliament today a 1965 education budget of 255, 000, 000 pounds ($85, 000, 000) topping that of the previous year by 50, 000, 000 pounds ($16, 600, 000).
The budget included proposals fora permanent body to arbitrate teachers wage and working condition demands and one to send annually to Jewish communities outside of Israel delegations of high school pupils to strengthen ties with those communities.
He also disclosed that a new subject, the history of the Jewish people for the 19th century, would be added to public school curricula.
