Israeli Minister to Unuguay Leaves for Montevideo; Brings Tel Aviv Keys to Mayor

The “young state of Israel is interested in friendly relations with the democratic republics of South America,” Joseph Tsur, newly-appointed Minister to Uruguay, declared at a press conference here prior to his leaving tomorrow. Tsur, the fourth diplomat accredited by the Jewish state and the first to the Western Hemisphere, will carry with him the key to the city of Tel Aviv to be awarded to the mayor of Montevideo.
