Fifty-nine Israelis in Cyprus have been given refuge in the British Army base there, the Foreign Ministry announced today. The Israelis, along with others, are being guarded because of the explosive situation on Cyprus, with possible war there between Turkey and Greece still not excluded, Israel’s Embassy at Nicosia, is functioning normally, the Ministry said.
