Israeli nuclear whistle-blower Mordechai Vanunu was elected rector of a Scottish university. Students at Glasgow University on Wednesday voted the 50-year-old into the largely symbolic post, previously held by figures such as anti-apartheid activist Winnie Mandela and former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli.
