Israeli opposition leader Ehud Barak was elected prime minister — in a Ramat Gan high school election. Barak took 65 percent of the vote, to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s 35 percent in the mock vote. The elections attract widespread interest in Israel because they are widely viewed as a litmus test of the national mood.
