Israeli police barred Peace Now activists from visiting Hebron for a pro-peace rally on a street that was reopened to Palestinian traffic this week after more than five years. Meanwhile, Israeli security sources were quoted by Israel Radio as saying that a market in Hebron will not reopen because Palestinians had not built a wall separating the market and a street leading to a Jewish enclave.
