A policeman and a demonstrator were injured here yesterday in disturbances touched off when a group of some 200 religious youths surrounded the Working Youth Club in Bnei Brak, near Tel Aviv to protest what they considered desecration of the Sabbath by participants in the club activities. The religious youths threw stones at windows of the club and at police who were called to the scene.
The Dan Bus Company announced today it has suspended bus service to the Hatkiva quarter of this city, due to attacks against the vehicles and drivers. A number of the buses have been stoned recently and, in one case, the driver was injured. The company announced it would not reopen its service to that section of the city until a special committee determines the reasons for the hooliganism and until the company is compensated for damage suffered.
