Israeli police shot and killed a Palestinian who drove a would-be suicide bomber toward Haifa. The driver, identified as Islamic Jihad member Mustafa Yassin, was shot and killed while trying to evade capture after Israeli undercover troops surrounded his house in a West Bank village. A third member of the cell was arrested near Haifa.
