Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said he would not reverse the dismissals of four Cabinet ministers from the fervently Orthodox Shas Party. Sharon fired the four late Monday night after they helped defeat the government’s emergency budget plan in the Knesset because it would cut spending for social welfare payments for large families.
