Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon told his Cabinet that Israel reached an agreement with Jibril Rajoub, head of Palestinian security in the West Bank, to achieve quiet in Hebron. Under the agreement, Israel would withdraw tanks and troops from Palestinian sections of Hebron from which Palestinian gunmen recently fired on Jews celebrating Sukkot in Hebron.
