Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a new jobs program. Under the program, the government will subsidize business for up to six months if they hire new employees and keep them on for at least double the amount of time the subsidy is paid. But Amir Peretz, the head of Israel’s Histadrut labor federation, said the subsidy was insufficient.
