Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on the Palestinian Authority to begin inviting members of the Palestinian National Council to attend a Dec. 14 meeting in the Gaza Strip. Most of the 500 members of the PNC live outside the self-rule areas. Netanyahu is also demanding that the PNC hold a formal vote, rather than a voice acclamation, on revoking the anti-Israel clauses in the Palestinian charter. President Clinton is slated to attend the meeting.
