Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened the Inner Security Cabinet for further discussions of the scope of the next West Bank redeployment. Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met to discuss the stalled Middle East peace process. The meetings comes as U.S. Middle East envoy Dennis Ross is scheduled to visit the region later this week in the latest attempt to break the more-than-year-old deadlock in the process.
