Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told representatives of the Chabad movement that he rejects any attempt to stigmatize the group because of an isolated incident. The meeting came after the recent arrest of a Chabad member, Shabtai Bloch, who is suspected of having planned to attack the prime minister. Netanyahu was scheduled to meet later this week with Australian Chabad leader Rabbi Yosef Gutnick in a further attempt to defuse tensions.
