Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be defeated by opposition leader Ehud Barak if national elections were held this week, according to an Israeli opinion poll. The poll, published in the Israeli daily Ma’ariv, also showed support slipping for former army chief of staff Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, who has not yet declared his candidacy.
