Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak called for a unilateral separation from the Palestinians along the lines of last May’s Israeli troop withdrawal from Lebanon. Speaking during a visit to the West Bank settlement of Alfei Menashe, Barak said such separation is preferable as part of an agreement with the Palestinians.
