Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak indicated Wednesday that he would support legislation aimed at softening a landmark Supreme Court ruling barring the use of force by Shin Bet security service interrogators. “There must be an authority that can, in the hour of need, work quickly and availably to approve the necessary investigation in the case of immediate danger,” the premier said in a statement.
