Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak reportedly wants to move ahead with a multimillion-dollar military contract with China despite strong American objections. The Israeli daily Ha’aretz quoted government sources as saying that Israel will proceed with a deal to outfit Chinese cargo planes with advanced radar systems because it has an interest in maintaining good ties with China.
