Israeli prosecutors filed bribery charges against the former director general of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin’s office. Shimon Sheves, who was charged, among other things, with accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes, denied the allegations, saying they are based solely on rumors. No decision has been made on whether Sheves will be brought to trial.
