The question of Canada’s extending recognition to Israel was discussed here by Minister for External Affairs Louis St. Laurent and Michael S. Comay, member of the Israeli Foreign Ministry. Comay later told a press conference that the Canadian Government’s recognition of Israel would be a logical step growing out of the Dominion’s support of the Nov. 29 U.N. partition resolution.
