A resolution calling upon the Israel Government to give more attention to the problem of defending the border settlements was adopted here today at a conference of Hashomer Hatzair collective settlements.
Addressing the conference, Meir Yaari Hashomer Hatzair leader, scored the Soviet Union for its outspoken anti-Israel stand. The Jewish State, he pointed out, was the only country currently under attack by Russia. Israel fares poorly even in the Soviet Encyclopedia, he stated, emphasizing that this was the “reward” for the fact that 40 percent of Israel’s population had signed a petition calling for world peace.
