Israeli soldiers killed at least two Palestinian gunmen in the West Bank. Troops operating in Nablus fired on an armed fugitive, killing him and wounding one of his comrades. In Kabatiya, a village close to Jenin, another gunman died in a clash with troops. There were unconfirmed reports of a third gunman killed in the West Bank town of Anabta.
