In yet another sign of the growing thaw in Moscow-Jerusalem relations, Israel and the Soviet Union will soon exchange press missions.
The Soviet Journalists Union sent its first official invitation to the Israel Journalists Association’s Parliamentary Affairs section this week to visit the USSR.
The invitation was accepted, and the Israelis in turn sent their own invitation to the Soviet press union, inviting them to send a press mission to observe the elections to Histadrut, Israel’s trade union federation, at the end of the year.
