Israeli Trade Minister Natan Sharansky reportedly instructed campaign coordinators to tone down advertisements declaring that his party, Yisrael B’Aliyah, should gain control over the Interior Ministry from the fervently Orthodox Shas Party. The ads began running Sunday when political parties began airing ads for their candidates in Israel’s May 17 elections.
